2-3-2013- CHURCH A PLACE OF HELP IN TIME OF NEED

JAMES 2: 15-16 =

(15) IF A BROTHER OR SISTER BE NAKED, AND DESTITUTE OF DAILY FOOD.

(16) AND ONE OF YOU SAY TO THEM, DEPART IN PEACE, BE YOU WARMED AND FILLED; NOTWITHSTANDING, YOU GIVE THEM THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE NEEDFUL TO THE BODY; WHAT DOES IT PROFIT?

"REMARKS"

I AM ALWAYS AMAZED HOW PEOPLE WHO GO TO A CERTAIN CHURCH, BESIDES THIS CHURCH, WILL COME TO MY DOOR FOR ASSISTANCE, WHETHER MONEY OR FOOD, OR WHATEVER.

WOULDN'T IT MAKE A LOT MORE SENSE, FOR YOU TO GO TO YOUR CHURCH AND ASK THEM TO GIVE YOU ASSISTANCE?

MAYBE YOU ARE TOO ASHAMED TO LET YOUR FELLOW CHURCH MEMBERS KNOW, YOU ARE IN NEED AND NEED HELP?

THIS IS WHY I EMPHASIZE TO THOSE SAME PEOPLE, WHO COME HERE FOR HELP,WHY DON'T YOU GO TO YOUR CHURCH AND ASK FOR WHATEVER IT IS YOU NEED?

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS IN "THE CHURCH AT TEXAS".

FIRST OF ALL, IF SOMEONE HAS A NEED AND THEY COME TO ME ABOUT IT, I BRING IT UP TO THE CHURCH, THAT THERE IS A MEMBER WHO IS IN NEED, WITHOUT DIVULGING WHO IT IS, AND IF YOU WILL DO WHAT IS RIGHT, I ASK FOR THAT MEMBER, THAT EACH OF YOU PUT $10 INTO THE PLATE, SO THAT THIS MEMBERS NEED IS MET. WHAT HAPPENS THAT AWAY, IS THAT IF ALL MEMBERS PITCH IN, IT ISN'T A BURDEN TO ANYBODY, AND A MEMBERS PROBLEM IS SOLVED AND THE CHURCH IS EDIFIED.

SINCE WE DON'T ASK, OR TAKE ANY OFFERINGS HERE AT "THE CHURCH AT TEXAS", WE WOULD DO IT THAT AWAY.

FOR YOU OTHER CHURCHES WHO DEEM IT NECESSARY TO PUT YOUR MEMBERS UNDER BONDAGE TO HAVE TO GIVE AN OFFERING EVERY TIME YOU MEET, INCLUDING NOT ONLY YOUR LAWLESS SUNDAY MEETINGS, BUT ALSO ALL THE OTHER MEETING YOU HAVE, THE OFFERING PLATE HAS TO BE PASSED AROUND, IT JUST PUTS MORE BONDAGE AND SHAME, IF THE MEMBERS DON'T PUT AN OFFERING IN THE PLATE, EVERY TIME IT IS PASSED AROUND.

WITH THIS TYPE OF CHURCH SYSTEM, IT WOULD BE MUCH MORE APPROPRIATE THAT YOU ASK THE CONGREGATION TO PUT $10 EACH IN AN OFFERING FOR THE MEMBER IN TROUBLE, BEFORE YOUR OTHER GENERAL OFFERING AND DO THAT AFTER, THE PEOPLE SOLVE THE MEMBERS PROBLEM, THAT IS IN TROUBLE.

THAT IS MY ADVISE.
